Although Henry Crawford of Mansfield Park has a large role in this tale, we only get glimpses of a few of the other characters. This is really a sequel to Pride and Prejudice. Besides the sleuthing Mr & Mrs Darcy, Lady Catherine de Bough, Anne de Bourgh, Colonel Fitzwilliam are present and their story forms the meat of the plot.

After an accident, the P&P characters find themselves stuck in the Village of Mansfield where soon a corpse turns up. Sir Thomas wants to rule it as a self-murder, but Mr Darcy does not feel that the evidence supports that theory. The investigation is on.

I found this to be quite a pleasant read; a mystery with a number of twists and turns. The first two novels of this series included a bit of the supernatural which was not completely plausible, but was fun anyway. This one has none of that. I think that his novel is quite worth the time spent and I recommend that you give it a try.
