Willoughby's Heart

After S&S is over, did Willoughby continue to think about Marianne, but only remembering her as his idea of the most beautiful girl, or did he go through his life regretting her? I cannot believe that he ever forgot her, but I have trouble deciding which is more accurate for I think within the last two pages both were implied.
