] I donīt think Jane Austen would ever own that one of her heroines might (in the future) be unhappy in marriage. Marriage seems to be the answer to all feminine needs in her novels. All the heroines get their "dream marriage", it seems. I personally think that in Marianne`s case, it was just a way of smoothing away all the edges, wrapping up the whole thing and tieing it with the bow of conventionality. Too bad.

Jane Austen is my favorite in the world! but, I do agree that after much contemplation I cannot reconcile to the fact that marianne Dashwood is happy!
