I thought myself a very rational creature until I realised that I had infact a very emotional side. This side frequently plays it(s) part in my life and times of reflection my rational side cannot explain its reactions.
Modern psychology is wonderful indeed and so is anatomy, but the fact remains that the great questions of the human body/soul and mind remain a mystery.
Human relationships are confounding enough and marriage is the most perplexing of these. We can only dissect peoples lives and make educated guesses as to why they connect but the absolute truth still eludes us.
I believe this is definitely true of love, its form and descent can never be really explained. How, why and what exactly will remain mystery. But, most people will tell you that there was a moment in their lives when the reality of the emotion hit them - for those lucky people this sentiment is reciprocated and similarly felt(by the other) but for those unlucky few this sentiment is never reciprocated.
Marianne Dashwood is one such person and for this my heart goes out to her!
