Yes, and there is so much more to a person than what might be on a list. Things that cannot be defined with words. Rather strange that romantic Marianne should not have known this: that checklist thing almost sounds more like something the pragmatic Elinor would do---but, there again, Marianne took it all to extremes, where Elinor would not, I think.
Also....Marianne had a rather self centered view of things, too....she wanted the man she loved to like everything she , liked, never thinking such a liason might be very boring.
