Sometimes, though, we think we "require so much," then come to the happy realization that much of what we thought we needed was simply an illusion. It is heartbreaking when these illusions turn out to be just that: illusions....but yet, it brings us to greater awareness of what we truly need....and many times, we are the happier for it.

Of course, there is a dark side to all this (always there seems to be a dark side, doesn't there?)----that we become so rigid in finding "what we require", that we become blinded to what might be just as good....which is what almost happens to Marianne, I think...

Anyone in agreement, disagreement or with a different POV?
