] He's directing a movie called "The Winter Guest" which stars Emma Thompson!
Yup. "The Winter Guest" is about 8 Scottish villagers dealing with the difficulties of aging. It also stars Phyllida Law-ET's mother and Mrs. Bates in Emma2-as the ET character's mother (oh, and ET cut and dyed her hair for this role). It just debuted at the Venice Film Festival and is meant to be coming out sometime in December-probably just in time for Oscar consideration.
