I donīt agree, I think she does intend to inflict hurt at times, she is annoyed by Elinorīs coolness and wants to "bring her out", to make her express her feelings. You`re right about her not recognizing other peopleīs different feelings-thatīs selfishness-but thereīs also cruelty and a desire to hurt in the way she acts towards her sister. It`s not just plain blindness, IMO.
In spite of all that, I can still like Marianne, cause I understand her.
