In response to Words to "Pardon Goddess..", written by Elizabeth Rose on September 25, 1997 at 19:26:35

] What are the words to "Pardon Goddess of the Night"? My friend and I have been trying to discern them. If anyone has seen them in the book I would be much obliged, as it's become one of those things...

Here you go:

Pardon, goddess of the night,
Those that slew thy virgin knight,
For the which with songs of woe
Round about her tomb they go.
Midnight, assist our moan,
Help us to sigh and groan,
Heavily, heavily.

(Graves yawn, and yield your dead
Till death be uttered,
Heavily, heavily.)

Hope that's helpful. The part in the parenthesis appears in the actual play, though it is not in Doyle's song (Branagh includes it in his screenplay, however).
