] Maybe each color represents a different sister....pink for Marianne.....green for Elinor? Also reminds me of the wild pink roses that grow in this area, off in a field somewhere, no help from man.....I guess love is alot like that too---thrives better without interference, a sub-theme in JA's novels.
Caroline, Lynne, I like these thoughts. Pink for Marianne, yes. Pink is a color for innocents. And S&S just makes me think of green, natural settings. Of landscapes and of autumn.
