So Frustrating!

I am a blubbering idiot by the time Elinor is begging MArianne not to leave her alone. The acting is so beautiful and underplayed and Pat Doyle's score-haunting, wistful, heightening the emotion of the moment.
I remember seeing it for the first time at the movies and while Elinor is pleading with Marianne to stay alive I got all choked up. The problem was that I am very short (almost 5'1) and at that moment the man in front of me strted moving in his seat and I couldn't see a thing. The moment was completely ruined. I'm happy to say now though that I have the movie on video and so I can see and cry without interruption.
