In response to Why do I constantly watch something that always makes me cry???, written by Barbara on August 11, 1998 at 23:08:55
] This is one, maybe THE one movie that makes me cry each and every time I watch it--and it's not like I don't know how it's going to turn out!! The one scene that really gets to me the most is just after Elinor is finished her honking and sobbing when Edward comes to say he is not married. Then we see her mother, Marianne and Margaret outside. The waterworks always come on when Margaret says, "He's kneeling down!" and Marianne turns to her mother--so THRILLED for Elinor and puts her hand to her mouth saying "Oh Elinor!" I'm getting all choked up just thinking of it now!!I always cry when Col. B. throws the coins in the air. I get so choked up when he gets his hearts desire and for a while felt sad that Marianne didn't love him like I thought she should. When I read "All Men Make Faults" and Barbara described the feelings Marianne has at the altar I cried for Col. B. because he was going to get what he deserved. Its my favorite sequel.
