They are all there apart from Margaret. Miss Steel's sister, silly girl that spills the beans the way Lucy never would. The children that explain the Miss Steels being welcome houseguests to near strangers. Most of the sequencing of the book is also followed, to aid understanding of what is going on. Most of the explanations and summaries are also there much as written, rather than completely changed or omitted. All characters are kept as silly or inocuous as in the book. No one stands out as a great heart throb, neither male or female. Willowby and Marriane are not perfect fit individuals that have always read the same books, loved the same poets etc. The whole is fairly ordinary, but still very engaging. I hope this has helped to understand what to expect. I still can't overstate how bright the production is. I like it a lot. By the way, I was wrong about how long it lasts. It's about 173 minutes, I believe.
