Yes, I'm the youngest of 5! I've got one sister who's nearly two years older. The age gap between me and my eldest brother is 9 years. I don't think I've been spoiled by my parents, I think we've all been treated in the same way. But I do recognise myself as Margaret. Especially when her elder sisters are allowed to things for which she is too young, like going to London. I remember that I've often been complaining, saying things like "oh, please, let me come too, I'm a big girl, I'm nearly 12!!", but it never worked. It took a long time until they would take things I said seriously. I will always remain the youngest, so they'll always feel that I can never be as wise as my elder brothers or sister.
As for Elinor and Marianne, I have to agree with you. I do feel more with Elinor than I do with Marianne, although I'm the youngest of the two sisters.
