...I've always thought that Gilbert was one of the most romantic guys that I've ever read about. I actually re-read a few of the books last summer, and my opinion was still the same. I'm not sure if it's because it brings back memories (ie, my mother crying when she read me the part about Ann going away to school), but I wouldn't mind having a Gilbert of my own. I guess it's too late though, since I don't have any guy friends that I've grown up with.
