Great scene!!!

] On this day, ET mentions talking with AR about Brandon's confession scene. I am so grateful they went ahead with Brandon telling the story himself. This is the scene that made me sit up and take notice of him. Up until this point, I just felt sorry for the guy.

] I remember listening to his voice and being very afraid he was about to lose control. I was sure if he raised his voice the walls of the room would collapse around them.


Yes, this scene really showed what the character of Colonel Brandon was made of. I especially loved AR's description of it as a man beginning to thaw out after 20 years in a deep freeze. I think that tone of quiet desperation and passion was far more effective than an overly dramatic scene with a raised voice and dramatic gestures ever could have been. He says more with a pause and by gripping the chair.
