The movie really does justice to the novel...

I have just seen the (1995) cinematic adaptation of "Sense and Sensibility" and I think that it follows the novel very well. Although the movie does leave the exact relationships of some characters to others vague (e.g., why is "Miss Steele" traveling in the same social circles as the Jennings and the Dashwoods?), overall it does a fair job. I was so disgusted with the screenplay adaptation of Miller's "The Crucible", so it is refreshing to see that Hollywood can still preserve the original spirit and flavor of one of Austen's (many) masterpieces.
