Sense=no feelings??

I do not think that sense precludes having feelings.

Marianne is overly dramatic and overly emotional about everything. She feels that it is fine for one to die for unrequited love; in fact, in the abstract, that is what one should do.

Elinor's feelings are just as deep as her sister's, but she is much more practical; does not let her feelings consume her to the exclusion of everything else.
