] I believe Brandon to be a repressed sensibility. His consuming love for Eliza cut off in its bloom and his subsequent disappointments. Remember, he too plays the pianoforte very well and reads aloud beautifully. Don't be fooled by the calm, quiet exterior, as Marianne was at first. =)
Then is not sense simply repressed sensibility? Elinor too has feelings..."What do you know of my heart?"...but has the ability to suppress them...
Marianne on the other hand does not seem to feel the strictures of society, therefore does not have any SENSE of supressing her sensibility...Now I have no idea on Edward...-KAREN L
