] On the Sense end of the continuum, I'll bet some would say it's a good thing Elinor does, in keeping her heart to herself. Safe and prudent, so she can't ever get too badly hurt. I rail against that sort of thinking, but Arnessa! You sound as if you are merely exasperated with Elinor, as Marianne is. Do you have some pity for her too?

I guess I pity her too. I don't want you to think I'm completely without Sense. But I really am baffled by Elinor sometimes I guess. If you really like someone or something, how can you hide that? Even if you manage to control your words and make sure your voice is even and steady, how can your eyes not betray some feeling, how can you control every muscle in your body to make sure no enthusiasm escapes. It must be impossible to do. Gosh, I really do sound like Marianne now. I'm having a 4 turner day. I really do like Elinor though and I know she's not cold. I am just baffled.
