I read the book first and the only two characters I cared for were Willoughby and Marianne. The confession scene was my favorite in the whole book, and I remember eagerly awaiting it as I saw the film for the first time. I have rarely been more dissapointed during a film, then when I realized it was not going to be there. The most emotional scene in all JA and they threw it away. It really simpliefied Wiloughby's character and his real love for Marianne
