See my problem with the "Lucy" character is that unl;ike W she has NO depth.

I don't think she knows how to "love". Th key to loving is the ability to have a heart and emotion, this is why villians sometimes reform. But, Lucy is absolutely heartless, souless and gutless.

So getting a rich husband is a victory becuase she will not pine about love- unlike Willoughby who does pine for Marianne.
