Let me start by saying that I've read the homework help page and I'm not looking for easy help. S&S is my 3rd Jane Austen novel (also read Emma and P&P) and the one I have chosen to use for my critical analysis paper for senior English. This is the only guideline I have as far as the parameters for the paper. I have come up with two possible topics: The Use of Symbolism and Allusion in S&S (using excerpts such as the references to Queen Mab, Shakespeare's Sonnet 116, and other Shakespeare references) or A Comparison between Elinor Dashwood of S&S and Myself (people often tell me that I use a lot of common sense, and I could notice many other similarities as I read the story). The only problem I see with the second topic is the finding of sufficient sources. Does anyone have a suggestion as to which might be a better topic to write about? Suggestions to source material would also be helpful.

Thanks!
LizzyBeth
