Question....maybe we can debate this??

When one reads all the missing scenes in the screenplay..do you feel the same sense of longing as I do...wishing they were included in the film? Or---do you believe S&S is perfect as is, and wouldn't change a thing? Would the extra scenes enhanced S&S...or would they have been a confusing addition? Maybe as we all read along, we can think about these questions, and others, such as how the limitations of budget and time affects a movie. Should very long books such as S&S be limited in this way, just over two hours....or is it necessary to have a mini series format to film these books properly?

My own thoughts: I found P&P2 delightful in its very length...they had plenty of time to dwell over many scenes in the story, and to develop it to its fullest extent. S&S was wonderful, too....but one did wish they might have included Willoughby's confession, and the dinner with Mrs. Ferrars...I missed these scenes...did anyone else? But overall, they did a good job with character development, and the actors were just wonderful...sigh. Of course, I also own the BBC version of S&S, and they do include these scenes, so I do get my S&S "fix" from watching this version.

Love to hear some opinions!
