] It would appear we are going to see a new Regency coming on towards the next century. Various forces will act on the young princes. Conflicts will develop between the heirs of the old whig country aristocracy actually it's tory and the current monarch. Earl Spencer has certainly thrown down the guantlet. I can imagine the Prince of Wales doing his best to obtain sole and complete custody of Lady Diana's children. Should parliement interfere in some sense? I don't think they have any right to Should prove an interesting situation. Wonder what Aunt Jane would have thought about the business?JA commented very little about George and Caroline, except to say, once, that the Princess of Wales had been treated abominably by her husband.My guess is that she would be very much anti-paraparazzi, and pro the Spencers having a hand in the boy's upbringing. But I would be very careful before drawing too many parallels between the then Prince and Princess of Wales and the current one.
