In the US there were bundling beds? It was so cold the unmarried couple would bundle up in bed with a board between them. yeah, right. anyway, Im sure things in the US were different that in the UK. :-)

Yes, this was a transitonal time and the rules were getting stricter. Perhaps because of all of the brides who were giving birth within the first months of marriage.;-)
