Welcome, AndreaJ!I know nothing about screenplays either, but it strikes me that to write a screenplay of a novel without using a lot of the original dialogue is a) rather missing the point and b)especially with something like P&P, a waste of the best part of it!
You might get a more informed response if you post your question in Ramble, which is where we discuss things not directly related to the novels themselves.
