Sounds like an interesting book. There are plenty of people/resources around here and some titles mentioned below. I can only give an opinion (just ask anyone, I'm no expert)- since women had practically no rights - yes. I've even read somewhere that men could sell their wives, since they were considered property, (the poorer classes anyway).! whoa!
