Just a thought...Laura Secord is famous for warning the British of an impending American attack in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario (right on the border) The reason the ice cream/chocolate company is called Laura Secord is because she supposedly took a cow with her across the muddy fields.
Too bad it was all a fib. None of it ever happened. She walked alone, and met a group of Native Canadians (Iroquois, je pense)who escorted her.
But we still affectionately call her the Ice Cream Lady.
