Hi,
I have an answer to Carolyn's query on the Regency
equivalent of the dentist he was referred to as the
tooth drawer. In the letters of Jane Austen she writes
to Cassandra of accompaning her nieces:Fanny,Lizzie, and
Marianne to a Mr.Spence the Knight's London dentist.In fact
the Knights always spoke of going to London to have their
teeth Spenced.
My second subject maybe a little touchy for some, but
I know there are other Regency Romance fans on this board
witness those interested in Queen Georgette. There are more
Regency Romances out there by very good authors only if
are not bought they will become more than an endangered
species as a genre so please buy them proudly.
Thank you very much,
Mary Collette List
