...men who were completely or almost completely bald didn't go blatantly exposing their chrome domes for all to see all that often, since they could have still worn wigs even after most other men had given them up, and anyay all men wore hats most of the time in public. Now, a little receding in the front would be expected to be visible more often, but I can't lay my hands on any illustration of such right at the moment (it's not something I've been looking for...)
