Post-mortem paintings

I've just picked up a really good and really heavy book on post-mortem photos from the victorian period. Inside the book it mentions that there was a fad of post-mortem painting that was very popular in the regency period and I was wondering if anyone has seen some of these paintings in books or on the net? So of the symbolism is fasinating, especially for children. I haven't looked enough to see if they have sources listed, I was just glancing through it.
Please don't think I'm a sick person to ask this,
