Mary,

Just a note, Denny would never be sent to Canada because he is in the miltia. The militia were English based troops who never fought over seas (they were kind of like the national guards). I believe I read someplace that militia came into being in the very early 1800's, when an invasion by Napoleon was considered a very real threat.

If you transferred Denny over to the regular Army, then he could be sent off to Canada.
