Who is "the late heroick sir J. Moore"? Do you know? Sounds intriguing.

Also, how on earth do you get a hold of all these wonderful sources? You, and lots of other people here, continually amaze me.

P.S. Salt Herring sounds a lot more pleasant than some of the other "cures" they had then--though I can't say I've ever eaten it.
