Darcy/Firth in knee breeches

] I've always had a hard time picturing Darcy in those britches that end below the knee with those stockings and slippers. I don't think they ever put Colin Firth in that sort of get up during P&P - seems like he always either had boots or slacks but, I'm not positive.
Check out the first Assembly, where he refuses to stand up with Lizzie, the Netherfield Ball, where he does dance with her (those two for sure), and he probably also wears breeches in all the evening scenes in the drawing rooms at Rosings, Netherfield, and Pemberley.
