Does your book say anything about mead at all? I am kind of interested in it and have always wanted to try some since I love honey so much. Our local paper said that mead was starting become trendy with big city folks but it's popularity hasn't reached the hinterlands yet. I don't suppose mead was made in JA's time? Just orange wine and spruce beer. ;-)
