Here is a little background on Amelia:

She died at the age of 27 in November of 1810 and was King George III's favorite. He knew her death was coming but at the time of her actual death, the King was having one of his mad spells and was reportedly dreaming that Amelia had gone to live in Hanover and was no longer ill. He was too lost in his imaginations to be told of her death.

According to Our Tempestuous Day by Carolly Erickson, "at 27 she was still girlish, more a child than a woman; though she had fallen in love with one of the King's equerries, Charles Fitzroy, she had not been allowed to marry him, and so she contented herself with leaving him everything she owned in her will.'

It is often said that it was the strain of her dying that sent the king into that strain of madness which began on the night of his Jubilee, Oct. 25, 1810. Amelia died a week later.
