To L and T index In filming Clarissa and Les Liasons Dangereuses there was no need to add voice-overs because the recipients of the letters were also part of the action- therefore all that was necessary was to add a little dialogue here and there to make the story flow more smoothly.( whether it actually worked or not in the case of the two versions of Les Liasons is another matter) However, it was very easy to make the distinction between the intentions and the actions of the Characters. However, with Lady Susan, you'd have to invent a complete character- the recipient of Lady S's letters - and that would be very difficult indeed.
