Baths and trays

The Roaman Baths were still undiscoverd, as you say, Diana. The Georgian Bath was a fairly recent consruction and smaller than the ones on display now.
We believe the trays held condiments and possibly, cosmetics, making them a social event.
There's quite a few conversations about this in the Archives, if you wish to look, including whether mixed bathing was actually the norm.
