Fevers and Bleeding

Posted by SuzanneR on August 28, 1998 at 21:21:45:

To L and T indexI checked the archives about this topic and found a brief post from Patricia in which she stated that bleeding was a common remedy for fevers.

Does anyone have any info about treating fevers? Were patients commonly bled? What other remedies were used? (raspberry vinegar?) What about if the patient were a young child--would a child be bled?

Thanks in advance for any help!
