ALL water contains oxygen! The chemical formula(ratio) for a molecule of water is two hydrogen atoms per one oxygen atom. Perhaps your informant was talking about the amount of oxygen gas dissolved in the water itself. You would need a chemical analysis to determine that. Most water contains dissolved gases unless it is distilled water.
