] It was frequented by Dandies, of course, especially Beau Brummell and his friends (when he wasn't esconced in the bow window at White's). The food was obviously reported to be wonderful and, well, French! And Macao was the favorite game of chance.

Do you by chance know the address of Watiers? I have often wondered. And do you know the year it closed, or the reason why? I seem to recollect that it merged with another club. Thanks!
