] When I go to a job interview, this is one of the things I am careful to do (and to practice beforehand). It looks much more professional to sit with ankles crossed than with legs crossed. In today's world, things like this are pretty irrelevant, but it does look nicer much of the time.
You are quite right Ann! though I can't say that I am as careful myself, but I did think about this question years ago.
