] I do have another concern about this topic which is absolutely nothing to do with PG-13. The original question was actually about four questions, including a lot of unsubstantiated 'facts', and suppositions , a lot of sweeping statements, and was altogether confused. The responses to it were in like mode. In the space of five quite long posts, there's almost no real nugget of truth,no substantiated fact, no real exposition of the argument, no attempt to clarify the question.Sorry to come under your frown of disapproval, revered host of the board. One question on netiquette springs to mind, to stop me having to apologise again.
If someone asks a question, should we give references and full details when answering? For example, when I stated that there were a lot of prostitutes in London, should I have stated how many, at what time, and the source for my statement?
It would put a cramp on things, since I don't always have my reference books to hand when I'm posting. One of the reasons I like this board is that it's an escape from the academic style, where you have to give references if you say that the sun rises in the east.
If anyone wants to know the reference or more details, they can always e-mail me.
