This is true, but, speaking of antibiotics, meats wouldn't be full of them. And as far as refrigeration meats were cured with salt and smoke for safety. There also wasn't the super viruses we have today nor did they have E-Coli and the like. Cancer wasn't as widespread as today due to our modern technology. They didn't worry about nuclear war and the ozone layer was intact. The rivers were polluted, but not the air.
I do agree this is a wonderful time we live in. But, in my opnion it is hard to say better.
I also agree infant mortality and human rights issues are hard to forget.
