Oh, I know of course. And it was much better when people stopped wearing wigs. But still, they were far more common - and harder to get rid of without the nasty chemicals we use these days.

True. But we would not be able to use the kind of makeup, applied as we would do so now...

] There were no orthodontics, but if you had the money Wedgwood made some nice porcelain teeth. And pantihose I can do without! ;-)

I absolutely agree on the pantihose. But you would have had to wear stocking held up with garters, no? And thicker than nylon - nasty on hot days and nights. Chilly round the thighs in winter!
