] I am always saying I was born more than a century too late. I would love to get together with all of you, my fellow J.A. addicts, and we could have a ball. Not a figurative one, but a real Jane Austen Regency-period (or Victorian) lavish ball in some old historic house. And everything could be done according to how it would have been done back then. Doesn't it sound lovely? And we could all go in costume or as our favorite Jane Austen character (as long as I can be Emma :0)) If anyone has any ideas, let me know. This is just the seed of an idea, so I would like your feedback.

A ball! I love a ball! This is an ambitious venture Mist. I'm game, but I fear many a young lady would be in want of a partner. Where would we find the men?
Thanks to Jennie C. I have the dress (although, heavens, for a ball, I'd need one in silk, not cotton). But logistically, I don't know how many attendees you could attract since we are such a geographically diverse group. Do you think it would be feasible at the next RoP meeting, I presume to be held next spring, and at a location still to be determined?
