] Before I write it I should say I really, really disliked Emma2, so Emma2 fanciers should take what I say with a grain of salt:

] I was amazed at the scene where Emma is driving a little carriage by herself, around town. Would this have ever happened? Or is my disbelief founded only in my annoyance with the movie?

]Remember, even little Anne de Bourgh drove her own phaeton around Rosings. Women could drive if they had the means but usually they would be accompnied. Having Emma drive alone could be a way of showing both her independence and and how much she gets her own way.
