Stepping back in time...

My family and I just returned from a visit to Old Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts. The village is set up as a small town in the mid-1830s, just as the Industrial Revolution was beginning to affect rural industries. We all had a wonderful time, especially during a special evening event that was solely lit by candlelight.
Sturbridge is, of course, just one of many historical restorations in America (and the world), and I humbly suggest that those of you interested in the customs of the past take time to seek out and support these places.
