To some extent, but there were also more unusual names, such as Cassandra. JA has a tendency to give her awful women unusual names: Lydia, Augusta, Penelope, Isabella. The heroines have common ones like Elizabeth and Anne, and the suffering virtuous secondary heroines seem to be called Jane.
